Michigan Governor Bans Sale of Plants and Seeds?

Michigan Radio - a National Public Radio affiliate - reports that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has ordered that garden centers at large stores must close during the Covid-19 pandemic, declaring that the products for sale in those departments are "non-essential."
"The governor wants people to restrict their trips from home to getting the essentials such as fuel and food. Large retail garden centers have been ordered to close temporarily." Plants and seeds may not even be sold at farmers markets.
Though the Governor's office declares that she is not banning the sale of plants and seeds across the board, that is exactly how her order is being interpreted.
