Changes in minimum quantities and pricing.

Since we began selling online in 2008, we have offered plants in modest quantities – as few as 5 or 6 – for the convenience of some customers. To do so, however, we had to charge higher prices for those small numbers in order to make it economically viable.
Frankly, most of the perennials, shrubs and vines that we sell are used as ground covers, in wildlife habitat and wildflower meadows requiring larger quantities of plants. So, as of February 1, 2021, we will no longer offer plants in small numbers. The minimum purchase for plants in 3-1/2 inch pots will be no fewer than 25 per species. Plants in 2-1/2 inch pots will be sold in minimums of 54. Most bare root plants will be sold in bundles of 50. However, Astilbe, Campsis, Convallaria, bare root ferns, Hemerocallis (daylilies) and Iris will be sold in bundles of 25.
The best news is that our prices per each in these minimum quantities will be reduced significantly. In some cases, you’ll pay only a little more than you would’ve before for far fewer plants. Not only that, but we are continuing to offer FREE SHIPPING for all orders of $199 and up when shipped together.
New customers have often ordered a few plants, just to check them out and see what they look like before ordering many more. Though we provide photographs of our plants in our online catalog, they are merely representative, having been taken some days, weeks or even months before. For up-to-date photos of samples, simply contact us with your request.
