Terry W. Johnson, a former Nongame program manager with the Georgia Wildlife Resources Division, published an excellent article about how you can "make your yard a pit stop" for migrant birds. Because many southbound birds switch their diets from insects to berries and seeds, landscaping your property with suitable plants can be a boon for them. Read more about it.
