Why not adopt a bat for Halloween?

Bats have been the subject of bad news recently. Experts say SARS-CoV-2 originated in bats. SARS-CoV-2, as you might have read, is the coronavirus that apparently brought COVID-19 into being. (Source: WebMD).

Bats can also carry rabies, and transmit the disease to humans. However, according to the CDC, the likelihood of that is said to be rare.

Not only that, bats are just plain ugly to all but the most ardent Chiropterologists.

But Iowa State University Extension and Outreach says that bats are actually very beneficial. In fact, you might want to adopt a bat for Halloween.
