Super Geotextile woven geotextile is a commercial grade 4 oz woven polypropylene fabric made for separation and stabilization. Put it down on the soil before you add gravel or base rock: it keeps the stone from sinking into the dirt, spreads the load, and helps prevent ruts and potholes so your driveway or road lasts.

  • True 4 oz woven polypropylene – commercial grade, not a thin landscape cloth.
  • 200 lb tensile strength – strong enough for cars and trucks to drive over the finished surface.
  • Heat sealed ends – won’t unravel when you handle and cut it.
  • Built to last – made to last up to 50 years when properly buried.
  • Widths from 4' to 20' – cover a full driveway in one piece and cut down on seams.

Common uses

  • Gravel driveways & parking areas
  • Gravel and dirt road stabilization
  • Paver and patio base
  • Sidewalk and walkway base
  • Retaining walls
  • Construction underlayment

Woven vs. non woven

Woven geotextile is built for strength and separation, and water passes through it slowly. If your project is about drainage – French drains, dry wells, erosion control – choose our 6 oz non woven geotextile or 8 oz non woven. For weed control, use our Pro Grade 5 oz weed barrier.

Driveway installation tips

  1. Strip topsoil and soft material, then grade and compact the subgrade.
  2. Roll the fabric out flat across the full width of the driveway.
  3. Overlap seams 12–18 inches (more on soft ground).
  4. Pin the edges and seams so the fabric doesn’t shift.
  5. Dump and spread gravel from the front, driving only on gravel – not directly on exposed fabric.

Don’t forget the pins. Hold your fabric in place with our 6" galvanized circle top landscape pins or 11 gauge galvanized landscape staples.

FAQ

What width do I need for my driveway?
Pick a width that covers the whole driveway plus a little extra on each side – most single-lane driveways are 10–12 feet wide. Our 12.5' to 20' widths let you do it in one piece.

Does it let water through?
Some, but slowly. For drainage, use non woven geotextile.

Can I order a sample?
Yes – choose the 1' x 1' sample option.
