Super Geotextile Pro Grade 5 oz weed barrier (Pro 5 Plus) is a heavy duty, double-layer landscape fabric. A woven and a non woven polypropylene layer are needle punched together, so you get the strength of a woven with the water flow of a non woven – a weed block made to last 25 years.

  • Double-layer “capped” construction – woven + non woven polypropylene needle punched together.
  • Heavy 5 oz/yd² fabric – a thick, pro grade fabric for long-term weed control.
  • Planting lines every 12 inches – space plants quickly and evenly.
  • Lets water through – rated 10 gal/min/ft² so rain and irrigation still reach the soil.
  • 25 year fabric – built for long-term weed control in beds, gardens and under rock.

Where to use it

  • Flower beds & vegetable gardens
  • Under mulch, rock and decorative stone
  • Under decks, patios and walkways
  • Around trees, shrubs and fence lines
  • Commercial landscaping & nurseries
  • Soil & landscape stabilization

Installation tips

  1. Remove existing weeds and roots, then rake the area smooth.
  2. Roll out the fabric and use the 12" planting lines to line up rows.
  3. Overlap seams 6–12 inches so weeds can’t sneak through.
  4. Pin edges and seams every 3–5 feet.
  5. Cut an X where each plant goes, then cover with mulch or rock.

Don’t forget the pins. Hold your fabric in place with our 6" galvanized circle top landscape pins or 11 gauge galvanized landscape staples.

FAQ

How much do I need?
Multiply width x length for square feet and add a little for overlaps. Choosing a wider roll means fewer seams.

Will water still drain?
Yes – it’s permeable, so water and air reach the soil.

Should I cover it?
Covering with mulch or rock looks better and protects the fabric from sun, so it lasts longer.

Can I order a sample?
Yes – choose the 1' x 1' sample option.
