Tradescantia zebrina Violet Wandering Dude

Violet Wandering Dude: Silver Stripes and Purple Trails

Violet Wandering Dude (Tradescantia zebrina) brings rich color to a hanging display. Its striped leaves combine silvery bands with green and purple tones, while the trailing stems create a lively cascade.

• 💜 Purple leaf undersides add color from every angle
• ✨ Silvery stripes give the foliage a bright patterned finish
• 🌿 Trailing stems look lovely over pot edges
• ✂️ Easy-to-shape growth can be pinched back for a fuller look

Choose this colorful foliage plant for a bright shelf or hanging basket. A little regular attention to moisture and pruning keeps its trailing display looking fresh.

Care Tips

Light: Bright, filtered light. Protect from harsh midday sun.

Water: Water as the surface begins to dry, keeping the mix lightly moist but not soggy. Water less in winter; avoid prolonged drought.

Soil: Use a well-draining houseplant mix that retains some moisture.

Potting: Use a pot with drainage holes and avoid an oversized container that stays wet too long.

Temperature: Keep warm and frost-free, away from cold drafts.

Humidity: Provide good airflow and avoid damp, stagnant conditions.

Pruning: Pinch or trim long stems to encourage branching and maintain a full pot.
