Salvia nemorosa ‘Apex™ Blue’ is a compact, early-flowering perennial prized for its blue flower spikes held neatly above a dense mound of aromatic green foliage. The color is clear and dependable—no fading into purple confusion—just a strong blue that reads clean across the garden.

Part of the Apex™ series, it keeps a tighter, more uniform habit than older salvias, typically reaching 10–14 inches tall and wide. It begins blooming in late spring and will continue into summer, often reblooming if cut back after the first flush.

This is a plant built for sun and discipline. It thrives in full sun, prefers well-drained soil, and tolerates heat and drought once established. Pollinators—especially bees and butterflies—visit it readily. Deer tend to pass it by.
