Why You’ll Love It

More flowers. More reasons to enjoy your yard.

Earthwise’s Northeast Native & Naturalized Wildflower Mix brings together coneflowers, coreopsis, bachelor’s buttons, asters, and other colorful flowers for a lively, meadow-style display.

Plant a sunny border, create a dedicated wildflower patch, or give an open area a more natural look. Annual flowers can provide color during the first growing season, while perennial plants develop and contribute more as the planting matures.

This blend includes both native and introduced flowers. It is intended for ornamental wildflower gardens and meadow-style plantings.

Growth & Flowering

Expected Height: Many flowers grow approximately 1–3 feet tall. Taller species, including New England Aster, can reach approximately 3–6 feet.

Germination: Some annuals may begin emerging in about 1–4 weeks under suitable conditions. Perennials can emerge later, and some benefit from a period of cool, moist conditions.

Flowering: Expect a changing display rather than every species blooming at once. Some perennials may not flower until a later growing season. Bloom timing and the balance of species depend on planting time, weather, and growing conditions.

Planting & Care

  1. Prepare the area. Remove existing grass and competing weeds, then create a smooth, firm seedbed.

  2. Spread evenly. Broadcast at the recommended application rate and lightly rake or press seed into the soil surface.

  3. Water gently. Keep the seedbed consistently moist during germination and early establishment. Provide supplemental water during extended dry periods.

  4. Support establishment. Remove competing weeds while small. Plan for seasonal cleanup or cutting as the planting develops.

Let the flowers grow through their blooming cycle, with room for taller stems to develop.
