Mammillaria gracilis fragilis 'Thimble Cactus'
Thimble Cactus: Tiny Clusters of White-Spined Charm
Bring a little cactus detail to your collection with Mammillaria gracilis fragilis. Its small cylindrical stems form clusters beneath a delicate pattern of white spines, giving this Thimble Cactus a wonderfully intricate look.
- 🌵 Thimble-like stems give the cactus its charming common name
- 🤍 White spines form a lace-like pattern over the green stems
- 🌱 Clustering offsets create a fuller cushion over time
- 🪴 Petite form fits beautifully in a small cactus planter
- 🤲 Fragile offsets need gentle handling when moved
Display Thimble Cactus where you can enjoy its fine white pattern up close. Move it by the pot, as the little offsets can detach easily.
Care Tips
Light: Give bright light with gentle direct sun. Acclimate gradually and protect from scorching afternoon heat.
Water: Let the cactus mix dry before watering. Water less during cool, slow growth and never leave the pot standing in water.
Soil: Use a gritty, fast-draining succulent mix.
Potting: Choose a pot with drainage holes and repot when the roots need more room.
Humidity: Provide good airflow and avoid persistently damp foliage.
Temperature: Protect from frost and cold, wet conditions.
Handling: Use gloves and suitable tools around the spines. Support the plant carefully to avoid dislodging offsets.

Care Instructions
Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.
To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.
Allow the soil to dry to the level recommended in the Care Tips above before watering again. Always drain excess water.
Weather Conditions
- When ordering, be mindful that living succulents can freeze. If you live in an area that is below 40°F, please consider purchasing plant until the weather is more suitable.
