Digitalis purpurea 'Dalmatian Rose' Foxglove - Qt. Pots - Flat of 10
Digitalis purpurea ‘Dalmatian Rose’ offers graceful spires of warm rose-pink blooms, each bell delicately freckled within, rising above a neat mound of green foliage. Unlike the old foxgloves that take a year to gather themselves, this variety flowers in its first season—bringing that classic cottage garden look without the wait.
Growing 18–24 inches tall, it forms a compact, upright clump well-suited to borders, woodland edges, and informal plantings. The blooms appear from late spring into early summer, drawing bees and hummingbirds that seem to know instinctively where to look.
It prefers partial shade but will tolerate full sun in cooler climates or where soil remains evenly moist. Rich, well-drained soil suits it best, though it is not overly demanding. Given the chance, it may self-sow lightly, carrying its gentle presence forward.
A word to the wise: all parts of foxglove are toxic if ingested. Handle with care—this is beauty with a guarded nature.
