Brown fronds, emerging from the center of the plant, mature to pale green and are divided with lance-shaped leaflets. Rust-colored hairlike tufts are at the base of each frond. Cinnamon fern is clump-forming. Mature height is 30 inches to 60 inches. Foliage is dormant in winter. Cinnamon fern is deer resistant.
