Selaginella kraussiana 'Gold Tips'' - Gold Tips Club Moss - in 4.5 inch Pots - Flat of 10
A low, creeping carpet of fine, feathery foliage brushed in soft green and tipped with warm gold. Selaginella kraussiana is not a true moss but a very ancient relative of the clubmosses, a plant whose ancestors spread across the earth long before roses and maples were even a notion. ‘Gold Tips’ keeps that woodland character — cool, quiet, and shaded — and brings it indoors where it softens hard edges and fills the gaps other houseplants refuse to inhabit.
It thrives where many plants sulk: terrariums, bottle gardens, shaded planters, and the damp understory beneath taller companions. Given moisture, filtered light, and protection from drying air, it forms a dense mat that spills gently over the rim of a pot like a miniature forest floor.
Ideal for fairy gardens, dish gardens, and vivariums, and excellent as a living mulch around ferns and tropical foliage. Do not let it dry out; drought is its only real enemy. Treat it less like a cactus and more like a patch of moss beside a shaded creek bank.
