Gaura Belleza™ ‘Dark Pink’ is a refined, long-blooming perennial that produces a profusion of rich pink, butterfly-like flowers dancing along slender, wiry stems. The blooms hover above a compact mound of foliage, giving the plant a soft, airy presence that contrasts beautifully with heavier, more rigid forms in the garden.
More compact and controlled than older gaura varieties, the Belleza™ series holds a tidy habit at about 12–18 inches tall and wide, making it well-suited for borders, containers, and mass plantings. It begins flowering in late spring and continues well into fall, often without pause.
This is a plant made for heat and sun. It thrives in full sun, tolerates drought once established, and prefers well-drained soil—indeed, it resents wet feet. Its delicate appearance belies its toughness. Butterflies are drawn to it, and a light trim will keep it fresh and blooming.
