I thought the window would come put together but it is a kit ! It took all day to put it together and install but when we were done we were happy with the window. It would not have taken all day but we had to reframe the window opening to get the garden window to fit the opening. I would not attempt this if you have no experience in construction or at least some knowledge in construction. The design on the window could be better. There are a lot of openings when the window is done that will take some kind of trim to close them up to waterproof the window. All in all I am happy with the window. I did not receive a instruction manual in the package but John helped me contact Janco and they were great about getting one to me. Everyone I talked to was very helpful and courteous.
