Pratia pedunculata ‘County Park’ is a ground cover that humbles grander plants with its low stature but bold personality. Forming a tight mat of glossy green leaves just 1–3 cm high, it erupts in a constellation of deep violet‑blue, star‑shaped flowers from late spring into early summer—with sporadic rebloom into fall. Native to Australia and New Zealand and later hailed as "Blue Star Creeper," this evergreen delight tolerates moderate foot‑traffic and even slips between stepping stones—making it suitable for sun to part shade and moist, well‑drained soils.

Whether under shrubs, beside bulbs, or filling a rock garden, its hardy charm and informal grace make it a gardener’s secret weapon.

Don’t let its demure appearance fool you—‘County Park’ is a sleeper in performance and subtle drama. It spreads via subterranean runners, covering 30–60 cm within a season, and self‑divides effortlessly—be mindful of its gentle invasiveness and edge it if you want boundaries.

Deer tend to pass it by, yet bees and pollinators are drawn to its starry blooms , adding biodiversity to your patch. Care is minimal—keep the soil moist, trim back post‑bloom to refresh foliage, and revel in a living carpet that laughs in the face of foot traffic and drought missteps.

Ready to turn that bare patch into a lush starlit meadow? Plant ‘County Park’ in masses or between pavers for a tapestry of violet-blue delight. Order now while it's available—or sign up at your nursery to be first in line for the next shipment. Your garden deserves this poetic whisper of the past, blooming into a timeless future.

Tiny green leaves form a low, dense mat. Foliage is evergreen in warmer climates, semi-evergreen in cooler ones. Small, light blue flowers bloom from spring to fall.

Mature height is up to 2 inches. Blue Star Creeper spreads up to 18 inches. It tolerates a little foot traffic, but bear in mind that foliage and stems that spread over the edges of hard surfaces will be crushed if mashed.
