Comments: Hypericum calycinum, also known as St. Johns Wort, Aaron's Beard, or Rose of Sharon, spreads by rhizomes. Medium green foliage is about 2 inches x 1 inch in size. Yellow flowers, 3 inches diameter, are produced in abundance beginning in spring and re-bloom, but with fewer flowers, until late summer. The rusty foliage shades of winter are attractive, too. This is an excellent ground cover for medium to large areas.

Mature height is 12 inches to 18 inches. St. John's Wort is deer resistant and drought tolerant.
