The variegated, dark green foliage is evergreen in the South and semi-evergreen in the North. Arching leaf blades, edged in white, are 1/2" wide, 12"-14" long. Carex 'Ice Dance' spreads slowly and evenly by rhizomes, not clumping like most sedges. Though it will grow in average soil, it thrives in moist to wet conditions. Carex 'Ice Dance' loves shade or part shade. If grown in sunny and dry locations, be sure to keep it well watered. Cut back foliage late Winter for a neat appearance.
