Lamium maculatum 'Red Nancy' is a unique ground cover perennial that adds elegance to the landscape. The stunning foliage with its silvery white variegation makes it pop in the shady garden. Rich pink flower clusters, held above the beautiful foliage, appear in late spring to early summer attracting your favorite pollinators. Its spreading habit is idealt for height contrast with taller shade-loving shrubs, perennials or annuals planted behind it. Plant it atop stone walls or use it in container gardens, letting it cascade over the edges. Deer and rabbits are repelled by Lamium, a member of the mint family. Lamium requires little maintenance and suppresses weeds when the ground cover is well-established.

Lamium is used in folk medicine for its antispasmodic, astringent, anti-inflammatory and  antiviral properties.
