Comments: Tulipa tarda is a tiny little minature species tulip, perfect for the rock garden. It's native to central Asia.
Plant outdoors at a depth that is 2-1/2 times the height of the bulb* and 4 inches to 6 inches apart, or 4 to 5 per square foot, in fall. They prefer full sun, and well-drained, organic soil in USDA climate zones 3 - 8.
Tulips are good for container gardens, perennial and bulb gardens. Gardeners in southern zones should pre-cool them before planting.
