Anemone coronaria St. Brigid, also known as Wind Flowers or Double Poppy Anemones, are old favorites, known for their delightful spring flowers. Plant them anywhere you need some early Spring color. Plants lots of them for the best effect. Great for cut flowers, too! They can be cut as soon as petals have started to separate, before they are fully open.

Anemone coronaria prefers full sun in USDA climate zones 7 - 8 with mulch, as they are liable to be injured by temperatures lower than 28F. They do well in full sun to light shade in zones 9 - 10 without mulch. Average garden soil is fine. Somewhat drought tolerant, but require moist soil in spring and fall.

Anemone coronaria are heirloom bulbs and have been popular with gardeners since 1870.
