English Ivy is the best known of the Hedera helix species. English ivy is excellent for slopes and borders, trellises, topiaries and just about anything else you want to cover. Our bare root ivies present an economical way to plant large areas at a reasonable cost.

Height/Spread: 12 inches to 18 inches when prostrate, climbing to 40 feet.

Sun Exposure: Full sun to full shade.
Soil Condition: Well-drained to dry, average to poor, pH 6.1 to 7.8. Do not over-water. Allow soil to dry slightly between watering.
Features: Drought tolerant when established, grown for foliage, deer resistant.
Uses: Trellises, ground cover, erosion control, wall cover, container gardens, indoor foliage.
Comments: The glossy dark green leaves of English Ivy are 2 inches to 3 inches across. When grown as ground cover, mature height is about 12 inches. Deer won't eat it!
