Comments: Eranthis hyemalis, also known as Winter Aconite, is native to parts of Europe and Turkey. It is one of the earlier bulbs to bloom in spring. Eranthis has been in cultivation since 1570, and is an heirloom variety. Though only 3 inches to 4 inches tall, it adds a lovely touch to the late winter to early spring garden. Great for naturalizing, bulb gardens, container gardens and rock gardens.

Eranthis hyemalis prefers full sun to partial shade in USDA climate zones 3 - 7. Average garden soil is fine, but soil should be evenly moist. Bulb size is 5 to 6 cm. Plant 3 inches deep and 4 inches to 6 inches apart. Shipping begins in mid September.
