Crocus speciosus, a fall-blooming crocus, is native to Turkey, Iran, and surrounding area. The name, speciosus, means "showy", and it certainly is. The bulb multiplies very rapidly, so is ideal for naturalizing in the landscape. It's the plant itself is surprisingly easy to grow, and beautiful.
