Comments: 'Blue Zinger' is an improved variety of Carex flacca, syn. C. glauca which is commonly known as Blue Sedge or Heath Sedge. The species is native to parts of Europe and Africa, but naturalized in areas of North America. Arching blue-green leaves are evergreen in warmer climates. Its a perfect plant for that area where drainage is a problem, but will also grow in average soil with adequate irrigation. Mature height is 8 inches to 10 inches. Carex flacca is deer resistant.
